How it works
Most of the filler on the market today is made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in our skin and helps keep it plump and hydrated. It has a gel-like consistency and is injected underneath the skin to restore volume, smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, or enhance the contours of the face. The results achieved with this type of filler can last up to a year or two, but this varies based on several factors, including how long it takes your body to absorb and metabolize the hyaluronic acid.
